Angelett Anderson collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Recruitment to develop and implement strategic recruitment plans for sustaining high quality applications and enrollment of New First Year Students (NFYS) and supporting strategic recruitment and retention plans for underrepresented students. Angelett is the manager for the Program for Advancing Scholarship & Service (PASS). PASS is a program for underrepresented students in the College of Arts and Sciences who are interested in leadership development through academic support, career development, community building, and community service. She also manages the Buckeye Opportunities for Leadership and Development (BOLD), a program which serves first generation students in the college. Angelett supervises the recruitment and training of peer leaders for the student programs, She has oversight of the weekly student and peer leader meetings and the design, planning and implementation of programs, the management of the student listserv for PASS and BOLD, and the calendar of events for student programs. Angelett is also the advisor for three student organizations. These include Minority Organization Representing Excellence (MORE), ZUVVA, an Afro-Caribbean Dance Team, and the Black Mental Health Coalition. Angelett also manages the Undergraduate Recruitment Student Ambassador Program.
Arts and Sciences Office of Undergraduate Recruitment works to promote the college to prospective undergraduate students, while simultaneously supporting the university’s enrollment goals and initiatives. In addition, the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment sustains diversity programs specifically targeted to the recruitment, retention and advancement of underrepresented students.
